The PwC First Generation Award Undergraduate of the Year is an award that recognises and celebrates the achievements of students who are the first in their family to attend university. The award is open to students from any degree discipline who demonstrate certain skills and qualities such as self-motivation, proactivity, diversity, teamwork, communication and resilience.
To enter, you must:


A place on one of PwC’s undergraduate programmes depending on your year of studies. You will take time getting to know more about the work we do and the value we add to our clients’ businesses as you explore our lines of service offerings—Assurance, Consulting, Deals and Tax. Our undergraduate programmes are all about you and figuring out what you want. You will develop valuable business skills, discover where your strengths and interests lie, and have the opportunity to ask questions about a future with us. You will also hear from people of all levels and backgrounds and get an insight into the diverse range of fulfilling careers on offer at PwC Ireland.
A winner for the first generation award is someone who has shown resilience, determination and excellence in their journey to third level education. A winner is someone who has overcome the challenges and barriers that come with being the first in their family to pursue higher education. A winner is someone who has not only achieved their own goals, but also inspired and supported others along the way.
