The Legal Undergraduate of the Year Award
We're searching Irish universities to find the outstanding Legal Undergraduate of the Year!
In partnership with William Fry LLP, this award celebrates students who have demonstrated outstanding performance in their studies - from maintaining a high GPA and excelling in challenging courses, to achieving top marks in exams and assignments, and contributing to academic research projects.
Beyond academic excellence, we’re also looking for students who shine in other areas of university life. Whether through leadership roles in student organizations, participation in community service projects, achievements in sports, arts, or music, or involvement in internships and professional experiences, the ideal candidate shows ambition, dedication, and the drive to make an impact both inside and outside the classroom.
To enter, you must:
- Be an undergraduate student studying a law related degree
- Be on track to attain a 2:1
- Have the right to work in EU after graduation

Online tests
Receive an email inviting you to complete two assessments designed exclusively by our partner SHL

Your details & online questions must be submitted and completed by the 2nd of February 2026.
If you are successful in getting through to the next stage, you will hear from us by 18th of February 2026.
Assessment centre
The top 10/15 shortlisted candidates will be reviewed by William Fry LLP.
The process to determine the award winner may involve a virtual or face-to-face interview.
This information will be confirmed by the sponsor at a later date.
Grand final
The final shortlist of ten students will be invited to the awards ceremony on 1st of April 2026, at the Aviva Stadium where the award winners will be announced.
